Welcome Aboard!

The U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary is comprised of over 27,000 volunteers  dedicated to safer recreational boating on the waters of the United States. These individuals undergo special training so that they are able to assist and augment the United States Coast Guard in its non-military, non-law enforcement programs such as: boating education, safety patrols, search and rescue, and aids to navigation.

To join the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary you must be 17 years of age or older and a United States citizen. Ownership of a boat, radio station or an air craft is desirable but not mandatory. There are other requirements but they are not extraordinary. Check out our Join the Auxiliary page for more information.

Flotilla 10-10, also known as the Seaport Flotilla, is based in Auburn, Massachusetts. Our Flotilla welcomes new members and provides the necessary training which opens a world of opportunities to boating enthusiasts.

During the fall and winter months, we offer public education courses, including Boating Skills and Seamanship (BS&S), Sailing Skills & Seamanship (SS&S) & Coastal Piloting (CP).

During the summer boating season, we provide free Vessel Safety Checks (VSC), and other services for the boating public. To send us an email requesting a safety check, click here to REQUEST SAFETY CHECK

We are here to serve and to educate you about safe boating.
